Future Girlfriends For Prince George

Girlfriends for Prince George

This week has been all about the royal baby and even though that is very exciting there were a few other celebrity babies (all little girls) born this week as well.

Hillary Scott from the country group Lady Antebellum gave birth on July 22nd just like Duchess Kate to a sweet baby girl named Eisele (pronounced "Eyes-lee") Kaye Tyrrell. How cute is that name? I think it is adorable and it is nice that it isn't to out there. They chose the name by mixing Hillary's mother's middle and and her husband's mother's maiden name. I could see other people using this name for their own little girls. Hillary and her husband Chris have been married for about a year and a half and this is their first child together. Congrats to them!

Actress Penelope Cruz also have birth on July 22nd to a baby girl in Madrid, Spain with husband and fellow actor Javier Bardem. Their baby girl joins big brother Leo who is two. No name has been given yet but I am sure it will something beautiful just like I am sure their baby is beautiful. Congrats to these two.

Last but not least one of my favorite people in Hollywood (or shall I say NYC) just welcomed his first child, a baby girl, with wife Nancy. Nancy gave birth to their daughter on July 23rd in New York. They named her Winnie Rose and she was 5lbs. 9oz. This pregnancy was kept kind of hush as it seems a lot of people didn't even realize that Jimmy and his wife were expecting until little Winnie was actually born. I am a big fan of Jimmy's and I think he is going to be such a great dad. I am so happy for these two. You have to check out his monologue from last nights "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" where he gushed about his new little girl. So great! Congrats.

"Despicable Me 2" Review

"Despicable Me 2" review

This past weekend I made it out to the theaters with my kiddos to check out that latest "Despicable Me" movie. This is the sequel to the first "Despicable Me" film that came out back in 2010. Many of the characters from the first film are back in this film including the main character Gru who is voiced by Steve Carell and those adorable minions. This story picks up where the first one left off with Gru becoming the father to the three little girls he met and fell in love with in the first movie, Margo, Edith, and Agnes. He has retired from being a villain to focus on being a good parent to the girls though is offered an undercover job to catch villains. Even though he is hesitant he decides to take the job. While working undercover he gets to work with Lucy who is also an undercover agent and is played by Kristen Wiig. Even though Steve and Kristen are just doing the voices they still are hilarious as these characters. The story is full of heart and is adorable with lots of laughs thrown in there as well. If you have kids I recommend seeing this movie for sure. It is a film that the whole family can enjoy. Check out the trailer here.

It's A Boy!

We have a new prince in the world!

After waiting patiently for 9 months and on pins and needles all day today, we have finally found out that at 4:24 pm in London Duchess Kate indeed gave birth to a baby boy. The prince weighted 8 pounds 6 ounces and I am sure is beautiful. Daddy Prince William was present for the whole thing and it is has been reported that Kate and the baby are doing great. Now we all get to wait for the next big moments of getting to see the little guy and finding out what his name will be. Last I heard the top boys name people were placing bets on was George. We shall see if they take that name or pick something else. I can't wait for it all! Congrats to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Friday Top Five

My top five stories of the week

1. Funny girl Jenny McCarthy joined the cast of the long running daytime talk show "The View".  This is interesting since I feel like Jenny has a very different opinion than a lot of previous and maybe even current people on the show. Jenny is also very outspoken and does not hide what she thinks which I think will be very interesting to see on the show. She is replacing former co-host Elizabeth Hasslebeck. Could you imagine if she would have stayed on the show and then Jenny would have joined the cast? Things would have been heated sometimes I am sure. All in all I think it will be a nice change for the show.

2. This week many girls had their dreams crushed when we learned that rocker hottie Adam Levine is now engaged to Victoria Secret supermodel Behati Prinsloo. As much as I hate to see Adam off the market it is nice to see him so happy and with Behati who seems so sweet and adorable. The two are still in the very early stages of their engagement so no wedding dates have been thrown around but I am sure we will learn more details as the months go by. I personally can't wait for these two to start having babies because they are going to be beautiful! Congrats Adam and Behati.

3. Were you an Uncle Jessie fan back in the 90's? Well tonight is your lucky night because Jessie and the Rippers are the guest band on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon". Personally I feel John Stamos was fun to look at back in the 90's and is still looks amazing now. I am sure Jimmy has something hilarious planned to go with this Jessie and the Rippers reunion which only makes watching more appealing. I know I will be watching tonight that is for sure!

4. If you are anything like me (and millions of other people) you are sitting on pins and needles waiting for the arrival of the royal baby. Today their were rumors she was rushed by helicopter to London so she could give birth but it turns out this is not true and the royal heir is still sitting pretty in the womb. I am going to say this weekend she will give birth. And when she does I will be sure to post on here will all of the amazing details including the gender of the baby. Can't wait!

5. And sadly we learned this week what the cause of death was for "Glee" star Cory Monteith.  He passed away from mixed-drug toxicity involving heroine and alcohol. The actor has been cremated though there was a viewing of the body for his mother, brother and girlfriend/co-star Lea Michele. At this time there are no plans for a memorial service. My thoughts are with his family and Lea at this time.

"Saving Mr. Banks"

Disney and Hanks, a winning combination?

Two of my favorite things are coming together and being put on film, Disney and Mr. Tom Hanks. Tom and actress Emma Thompson are coming together on a movie titled "Saving Mr.Banks" where Hanks is portraying the legendary Walt Disney and Thompson is author Lyndon Goff who also went by P.L. Travers. P.L. Travers is the author of the Mary Poppins book series and the movie will show how Goff and Disney go about working together to bring the stories of Mary Poppin's to life on film. The movie will also go into the relationship between Goff and her father who was the main inspiration for the Poppin's character Mr. Banks. With two amazing actors like this I am sure the movie will be great and tell a wonderful story and hopefully give us a glimpse into what was going on truly behind the scenes when Walt Disney was continuing to grow him empire. The movie is set to released during the holiday (and Oscar) season on December 20. I know I will be there seeing this movie for sure, maybe even at Disneyland who knows. Check out the trailer.

Cory Monteith dead at 31

Cory Monteith found dead in hotel room

It is with much sadness and disbelief I report that E!News has confirmed that "Glee" actor Cory Monteith has indeed passed away at the very young age of 31. His body was found in a Canadian hotel called the Fairmount Pacific Hotel in Vancouver after he did not check out yesterday. The police chief on the case says their are no signs of foul play and no cause of death has been released.I have written before on here about Cory and how he has struggled with drug problems in the past and recently did a stay in rehab and seemed to be doing great after getting out. His relationship with his on/off TV girlfriend Lea Michele has been going great so much so there were talks of wedding bells and babies. His show "Glee" was also recently picked up for two more seasons. From the outside it looked like Cory's life was going up and looking great so it makes me so saddened to think of this actor to be gone. My thoughts are with Lea, his family, and the whole Glee cast who I am sure is even more shocked than I am. Rest in peace Cory!

20/20 Part 2

Let's take back the night.....

We have all known for months now that Justin Timberlake will be in fact putting out a second part of his newly released album The 20/20 Experience. Well just 40 minutes ago he gave us all a nice little treat, his first single from part 2 "Take Back The Night". I am currently listening to this song for the first time and it is amazing. If you were (and still are) a MJ fan you are going to love this new track. The song is a great dance tune with a very reminiscent Michael sound that is going to get you out of your seat and dancing for days. I already known for me personally it is going to be on repeat all day. Check it out for yourself and enjoy! http://vevo.ly/ajSxFe

Review of "The Heat"

Sandra and Melissa are bringing "The Heat"

A few weeks ago I got to go to an opening night screening of the new comedy "The Heat" staring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy and let me just say this is probably the funniest movie that will come out this year. This movie is absolutely hilarious with two of the funniest women in Hollywood teaming up. The movie is based around a Boston cop who makes her own rules (McCarthy) and a by the book FBI agent (Bullock) who have to work together to take down a local drug lord. While trying to finish the job they get into many different situations that are outrageous and crazy. Seeing the opposites of the two characters battle each other and then in the end being the perfect odd couple was great. There are so many laugh till it hurts moments it is hard to remember them all but there is one scene where they pull an all nighter in a bar and you can tell that a lot of this scene was probably just improve and because of that it is side splitting funny. My advice is if you feel like laughing till you cry take the time to go see this movie and thank me later. I just really hope this isn't the last we see of this pairing! If you haven't seen the trailer check it out now.
